NHS Education for Scotland has awarded technology consultancy BJSS a £27.8 million contract as delivery partner for the Digital Front Door app for health and social care services.

This follows the Scottish Government’s announcement earlier this year of the plan to create the app, to be rolled out around the end of the year.

It is intended to help people interact more effectively with health and social care services. Key elements were identified in 2022 but since the beginning of this year there has been an increased momentum towards its implementation.

The contract award notice says the delivery partner will work as part of the technology service in NHS Education for Scotland on the project and programme management, with activities including highlight reporting, developing architectural documentation and service blueprints, and participating in engagement, design and delivery meetings.
