Havant Borough Council has signed Exponential-e on a three-year contract to deliver infrastructure, network and security services.
As part of the contract – which was agreed in February and came into effect this month - the company will migrate the council’s IT systems to a Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure and provide a fully integrated solution of network and end user services.
Data will be hosted in the UK under a new domain with dedicated services for infrastructure, firewall, a managed local area network and Wi-Fi, all wholly owned by the council.
Exponential-e will provide ongoing management and support the estate, including Havant’s 680 plus PCs and end user devices, which are due to be upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11. The company will also provide a service desk and professional services function.
The ‘go live’ is scheduled for July, providing an overlap before the incumbent contract comes to an end.
